What do I need to bring?
Make sure you bring all liability waivers printed and signed. You also need to bring bedding, towels, toiletries, and don’t forget the bug spray! For a full list of what to bring check out our “Plan Your Stay” page.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $200 per cabin per night.
How many can you sleep?
We sleep 64. Each cabin sleeps 8 in 4 bunk beds and has two bathrooms. We have 8 cabins but we can accommodate larger groups in special circumstances.
What size bedding do I need to bring?
The cabin beds are a standard twin. The Pastoral Trailer has a queen bed.
Do you provide food?
Groups will be responsible for their own food and paper products. (Plates, cups, napkins, utensils, etc.) We have a full kitchen and a large outdoor grill for cooking. Some groups prefer to have meals catered by local restaurants. Please check out our “Things To Do” page for a list of vendors that offer catering near the retreat center.
Do you have audio equipment we can use?
Groups will need to bring their own audio equipment. We have two smart TVs for groups to connect to in the meeting rooms.
Can just my family/individual come to stay?
Due to liability insurance, the SGI Christian Retreat Center is only for Christian groups to use. We do not host family reunions or individuals, or families on campus.
Can I bring my dog or pet?
Due to liability insurance, guests are not permitted to bring any pets along on their retreat, unless it is a registered service animal, required for a disability.
Do you have kayaks?
We do not currently have kayaks for guest use. We do work with local businesses for groups that want to rent kayaks or paddleboards during their time here.
When are you open?
We are open year-round.
What types of payment do you accept?
You can pay online securely by card or bank through your Quickbooks Invoice. We also accept cash and checks onsite.
How much is the deposit?
The initial non-refundable deposit is 20% of the total amount due and is required to reserve the booking.
Where is the retreat located on the Island?
Once you cross over the bridge, turn left on Pine Ave. and then left on Fifth St.
What is your religious affiliation?
The Saint George Island Christian Retreat Center is a non-denominational Christian organization and is open for all Christian groups to use. For more information, please read our Mission Statement.
Who is your director?
Our director is Sam Still. The Still Family lives on campus and is available to help with anything you may need, during your entire stay. Learn more about their family on our Director’s Page.
Is there a church service?
First Baptist Church Saint George Island is attached to the campus. Sunday School is at 10 A.M and Sunday Service is at 11 A.M. Sunday morning worship is streamed live on FB and the church website weekly.
Is there a grill?
Yes, there is a large double propane grill for your group to use.
Are you handicap accessible?
We have four cabins that can be accessed by the ramp and one cabin has a handicap-accessible bathroom.
When is check-in/check-out?
Check-in is after 4PM and check-outs are at 10AM. This allows for cleaning time between groups. If your group needs to arrive earlier or leave later, please let us know and we will do our best to help work around your schedule.
